Colours of Home
A multi-venue public art installation for Aberfeldy, co-created by Poplar Works based textiles artist Lola Lely, the local community and a range of collaborators.
The installation saw a series of banners installed in public spaces, made from hemp cloth and screen-printed with natural dyes foraged from the local area. The banners were produced using low-waste, hyper-localised and community engaged processes. The results were both beautiful and inspiring, with motifs inspired by natural and architectural features of the area as well as its social history.
