Repair Embroidery

1:00 pm at Online Zoom Workshop

Join London College of Fashion’s Making for Change for a lunchtime making workshop and transform your old garments into something new!

In this free repair embroidery workshop delivered by Carla Bellisio, you will learn mending basics and simple embroidery stitches to repair and update your favorite garment.

Don’t have a full two hours to spare? You are welcome to join the workshop for the first 45 minutes to learn the basics and then finish your piece in your own time.

Materials are not provided, you will need:

    • An item of clothing [from your wardrobe, could be a jumper or shirt]
    • Needle
    • Thread (any thread can be used but crewel wool, embroidery floss or other thick thread would be ideal)
    • Scissors

Also useful if you have them:

    • Thimble
    • Scrap fabric [to practice your stitches]

If you have any questions, please email Jess Tierney at j.tierney@fashion.arts.ac.uk.
